How does it work?

1. Request an opinion.
First, request a remote second opinion by clicking on the box below. You’ll be asked to provide some information about your health. A one-time credit card payment is also required and covers all services described below.
Please note: HSS Remote Second Opinion is not typically covered by health insurance, but depending on your health plan rules, you may be able to use your Health Spending Account (HSA) and/or your Flex Spending Account (FSA) for reimbursement.

2. Collect medical records.
Dedicated advisors and physicians from Summus will help gather your medical records. They can also answer any questions you might have throughout the process.

3. Get a second opinion.
You’ll receive a comprehensive written opinion from an HSS expert. It will include a recommended course of treatment and a care plan.

4. Discuss your results.
A Summus advisor will follow up within 1 business day of receiving the report. You can request to speak with a Summus Medical Director to discuss details of the second opinion. You and your treating doctor will receive the final written opinion for you to review with them.
