About Dr. Hassan
Dr. Dahlia Hassan is an Assistant Attending Rheumatologist at HSS, as well as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a multitude of rheumatologic diseases, and works closely with patients to navigate complications of their illnesses throughout their lives.
Dr. Hassan graduated from Columbia University with a bachelor's degree in Neuroscience and Behavior. She went on to attend the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. She then returned to New York City, where she completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital (Medical Education Track), and subsequently her Rheumatology Fellowship at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She has an interest in bioethics, and received a Certificate in Bioethics from Hofstra University. She is also interested in medical education, and has conducted research on interventions for depression and burnout in medical trainees.
