Cauda Equina Syndrome (CES)
Cauda equina syndrome (CES) is a painful disorder caused by pressure on the nerve roots of the lower back. The compression of these nerve roots limits normal function of the pelvic organs and lower limbs. Symptoms of this condition may be similar to and mistaken for sciatica, which is caused by compression to the sciatic nerve.
