New York Liberty

Since 2004, HSS has proudly served the New York Liberty as the team physicians, providing first-class medical care for the athletes year-round as the team’s longest-standing partner and its first-ever jersey patch partner from 2019-2023. HSS doctors ensure that each player receives the best individual care for any injuries.

HSS works alongside the Liberty and the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets to make a positive impact in the community. Together, the organizations identified food insecurity as a major challenge in the region and collaborated with Wellfare, a local nonprofit, to improve access to nutritious food, as well as health and wellness resources for low-income households throughout New York City. In 2022, Wellfare’s Eat & Move Better Boxes — presented by HSS, the New York Liberty and the Brooklyn Nets — began bringing premium, nutritious packaged groceries, and health and fitness resources, to more than 600 families per year in underserved communities across New York City. 

The New York Liberty actively assist HSS in raising awareness and understanding about lupus through a partnership with the HSS Charla de Lupus program.
