About Dr. Connors
Dr. J. Patrick Connors is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in primary and revision hip and knee replacements. He has a particular interest in anterior hip replacement, robotic-assisted or computer-navigated partial and total knee replacements, and complex revision hip and knee replacements. Dr. Connors' philosophy is to treat every patient as he would his own family, starting with the most conservative treatments first. When surgery is necessary, Dr.
Connors uses minimally invasive and muscle sparing techniques to achieve individualized patient treatment goals while utilizing the latest technology and research to provide the best possible care and outcomes for his patients. After earning his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Notre Dame, Dr. Connors obtained his medical degree from the State University of New York at Downstate, where he was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency training at the University of Connecticut, followed by a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement at the prestigious Hoag Orthopedic Institute in Southern
California.
Dr. Connors has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. His research has been presented at national and international orthopedic surgery meetings. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS). When not at work, Dr. Connors likes to spend time at the beach with his wife Amanda and puppy Henry, and is an avid skier, golfer, and Notre Dame Football fan.
