His knee practice encompasses ACL reconstruction and revision surgery, lateral, extra-articular procedures complex multi-ligament reconstruction, meniscal repair, cartilage restoration, and knee osteotomy. He has a particular interest in how limb alignment and joint mechanics influence ligament stability and cartilage health. He uses advanced surgical planning and patient-specific instrumentation to tailor osteotomy procedures to the individual, with the goal of improving function and preserving the knee. When appropriate, he also offers partial robotic knee replacement.
Dr. Ranawat cares for athletes at every level and has experience with the demands of hockey and baseball. He serves as an orthopedic surgeon for the New York Rangers and a consultant for the New York Mets.
