About Dr. Anatone
Dr. Alex Anatone is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee reconstruction, including primary hip and knee replacement, partial knee replacement and complex revision hip and knee replacement surgeries. He performs both anterior and posterior approach hip replacements and utilizes computer-navigation and robotics to provide personalized care tailored to each patient's specific needs.
Dr. Anatone earned his undergraduate degree at Northeastern University in Behavioral Neuroscience where he graduated summa cum laude. He then earned his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Dr. Anatone completed his orthopedic residency training at Hospital for Special Surgery, where he served as Executive Chief Resident. After residency, he further specialized by completing a fellowship in adult reconstruction and joint replacement surgery at HSS. During his training, he traveled internationally to visit other world leaders in joint replacement to advance his knowledge on cutting edge techniques in the field.
Dr. Anatone is an active researcher and has authored peer-reviewed articles and textbook chapters. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS).
