For Medical Students and Professionals
Investigating new techniques to improve outcomes.
Foot and Ankle Fellowship
The Foot and Ankle Fellowship at HSS has a formal curriculum that runs throughout the year. Fellows are expected to lead and participate in weekly academic conferences with subject matters that include case presentations, patient presentations, journal club, and grand rounds. Fellows will participate in operative and non-operative aspects of all adult foot and ankle care.
Research
Research is at the core of the mission of HSS.
Our goal is to investigate the delivery of medical care to our patients and then provide them with the highest possible outcomes. This is accomplished by using the latest techniques available. Furthermore, our foot and ankle registry, comprised of over 35,000 patients, allows our department to draw on prior patient experiences to constantly improve the level of care we provide. We are currently conducting many clinical trials in addition to performing basic science research in the laboratory to answer research questions that arise from within HSS as well as from across the globe.
