Dr. Dariusz Borys is a Professor of Pathology at New York Medical College and an Orthopaedic Pathologist at the Hospital for Special Surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of Wroclaw in Poland and completed his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2001. He further specialized through fellowships in Pediatric and Orthopaedic Pathology at NYU in New York.
Dr. Borys has held academic positions including Assistant Professor at the University of California, Davis, and Professor at Loyola University Chicago. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and two books in the field of orthopaedic pathology. Recognized nationally for his expertise in bone and soft tissue pathology, he was named a Top Doctor by Chicago Magazine in both 2022 and 2023.
Following his move from Chicago to New York, Dr. Borys served as Chief of Anatomic Pathology at Westchester Medical Center and continued his academic career as Professor of Pathology at New York Medical College. He later joined the Hospital for Special Surgery as an Orthopaedic Pathologist. In 2025, New York Magazine recognized him as a Top Doctor in bone and soft tissue pathology.
