Alumni Publications

Alumni News: The Magazine of the HSS Alumni Association is published twice annually and contains timely messages about current events at HSS, award honorees, distinguished alumni, hometown hero stories honoring alumni veterans, alumni outreach humanitarian stories, memorial notices, class notes and updates, philanthropic opportunities, continuing education programming, and more. The magazine is sent to each alumnus as a benefit of Association membership.

Past issues of Alumni News are available in the Kim Barrett Memorial Library or upon request by emailing alumni@hss.edu.

Published since 2005, HSS Journal: The Musculoskeletal Journal of Hospital for Special Surgery is a peer-reviewed journal published by SAGE beginning in 2021. Submissions are welcome from clinicians around the world. The journal features original research, review articles, and case reports on musculoskeletal conditions, their diagnosis, and their treatment. Articles from professionals in fields relevant to musculoskeletal health are encouraged: orthopedics, anesthesia, perioperative medicine, bone and mineral medicine, radiology and imaging, clinical pathology, rheumatology, telehealth, robotics, musculoskeletal nursing, neurology, physiatry, and rehabilitation.

In Grand Rounds from HSS: Management of Complex Cases, HSS physicians detail the diagnosis and treatment of some of their most complicated cases. Each patient presentation includes relevant images, follow-up data, and a discussion of clinical decisions based on a review of the available evidence.
