Patient Case History: Steven
Correction of congenital leg deformity (valgus) to improve prosthetic wear
Pre-Op
Patient Surgeon: S. Robert Rozbruch
Steven is 30 year old with congenital leg deformity and severe shortening. He has difficulty with prosthetic wear because of the leg deformity.

Post-Op
He underwent osteotomy of the tibia and fibula and gradual correction of the deformity and a modest lengthening using the Ilizarov / Taylor Spatial Frame.

Follow-Up
With the leg straightened and partially lengthened, he is comfortable and functional in the prosthesis. This deformity correction will also protect his knee from developing arthritis.
