Patient Case History: Luis
Proximal Tibial Osteotomy for Correction of Deformity
Pre-Op
Patient Surgeon: S. Robert Rozbruch
Luis is 30 year old mailman who fractured his tibia in a baseball game 10 years back. He developed arthritis in the knee, and also had a varus, flexion, and internal rotation deformity of his proximal tibia. He experienced pain.

Post-Op
We performed an osteotomy of his proximal tibia and applied a Ilizarov/Taylor Spatial frame to match his deformity.

Follow-Up
Adjustments of the frame led to correction of his deformity and decreased pressure on the arthritic side of the joint. He now has a straight leg with no pain.
